perhaps it's an issue of pricing: the vehicle can be sold cheaply in its home market, but less so elsewhere, so the business case makes less sense than the ranger.
My thoughts were more with South America since if they were to build it in Brazil alongside its potential competitors I feel like it'd be fairly competitively priced and well-liked.

Considering that the Ram Rampage is based on the Jeep Compass' Fiat Small-Wide platform, I don't see why the Ford's Escape underpinnings would be too expensive.
edit: I take it back—the Maverick does make it to South America! And it's cheap, too! Cheaper than even the Ram's starting price, which then makes it puzzling why the Ram isn't sold in North America...

My big question though is Europe. I guess the Ranger takes care of 'proper ute' customers on that side of the pond but Europeans are keen on 'lifestyle' CUVs so why not throw them a 'lifestyle' ute to try? 🤔
