$5000-$6000 every year for maintenance, repairs and surprises.
I've never owned a LR product, but "per year" seems excessive. $5-6k is definitely in the cards for a surprise, but I wouldn't expect to spend that every year...If that's not excessive, then I should stop looking at P38s.
I give similar advice to anyone considering anything German and fast. "An average year looks like $1500-$2500, a bad year is $5k or more. If you're going to want to sell the car the first time you get a surprise $2500 invoice...don't buy the car."
Over 17 years, I've averaged about $1600/year on the M3 including everything but fuel. 2022 was a 6k year though. I opted to have the rod bearings changed for the second time, when I dropped off the car for that, I asked them to look into a CEL that had popped up once or twice... Yeah it was the most expensive bit of the drive by wire system. Then I had a bunch of other stuff done, engine mounts, and a bunch of items that popped up after I started driving it regularly again.
