@Cash-Rewards I would personally avoid anything with a 3.8, they are gutless without the benefit of power. And everything I've read about them they tend to leak oil from basically everywhere (4.0s will do this too but in a much more charming way). The NSG370 transmission is garbage, @Just-Jeepin can tell you all about those. And the interior of the 07-11 JKs is an atrocious place to be IMO.
If you're looking for a 4 door I vote with the others and would look for a 2012+, the later the better. Pentastar engines are not exactly bulletproof but have gotten better over time. The manual transmission used in the JL/JLU is much better to operate than the NSG box. Biggest plus for the JL is the windows are designed without zippers and remove/reinstall so much easier than older models.
All that said, if I were looking for a wrangler just as a fun vehicle I would personally be on the hunt for an 04 TJ with a 4.0 and D44 rear axle. Probably a rubicon but those are going to be very not cheap. The 04 has an oil pump drive unit that isn't prone to catastrophic failure, the NV3500 5 speed is a better trans than the NSG370, the 4.0 will run forever if you take care of it. These are getting pretty old now but I still think about the 05 I traded in because it wasn't working for me as a daily anymore. And that was almost 10 years ago

Oh, and get the soft top. I love the look of a hard top TJ but that fucker is stupid heavy and takes up too much space
