I am going to ask what is probably a very stupid question... whatever happened to the Maserati you did not buy a few months ago? Maybe with the kind of money they are asking for any of those Alfas you'd be able to fix (most of) its foibles.
Because old-school Maserati, even if it is from the De Tomaso era. Nothing against the 4c, mind. It's just a bit... young.
Still available and happy to give you the seller's info!
Yeah actually the 4C is rather young and that is a good thing. My fleet is heavily biased to the early 90s and late 80s, which is fine, but also a lot of work. The idea of having a car that (hopefully) won't need much more than routine maintenance over the next couple of years sounds very nice.
Additionally I feel like the 4C is nearing if not already past the bottom of its depreciation curve. I'm not betting or counting on it by any means, but it certainly feels like my last chance to get one before they start exceeding my means.
Lastly, while I am willing to make space in the garage for a running, driving, 4C, I am not willing to make accommodations for a broken, unloved Biturbo. I really like that Biturbo, but I have enough, similar misfits that need my time and money that I can't justify devoting the time, resources, and storage to it.
