@foghat1981 I wrestled with a Wrangler the other day (test drive, 2018 manual) and haven't "struggled" with a manual until then. Between the awkward "lift to reverse ring" that caused me to hit reverse instead of first multiple times; along with the start/stop, it was really frustrating and I'd avoid it like the plague.
I also had an Octavia in the UK last year with start/stop, which IMO has no place on a manual for obvious reasons. I found that holding the clutch pedal down would override it, though 🙂
I used to love manual, these days it feels very hit or miss.
Nice work by Skoda here, but not a fan of the quasi-Tesla interior. The screen as the visual centerpiece for everything doesn't feel right. I chuckled a little at the "4x4" badging...even though the US has way too many fake offroad wagons, I've never seen any bold enough to call one a 4x4. Occasionally 4WD (nope!), but 4x4 is a term you have to use very carefully...that's usually reserved for low-range transfer cases and truck bodies exclusively.
