Yeah, you will never get away from me if I need some information from you.
One time I needed a response from our MSP, and they were ducking me on purpose. I went for my most extreme tactic with a vendor which I have used a few times and that is. "If I don't get a call back at this number in the next 20 minutes, I will move $100k worth of business to one of your competitors"
Usually that nets me an instant call, but this time nothing...bluff called.
So, after an hour, I moved $100k of business to another MSP. It was one of the best "strategic" moves that I have made at this organization. I didn't know how bad I had it with the first MSP. The new MSP convinced me to move our remaining on prem systems to the cloud, which I did...about 8 months before covid. So when we all had to go home, the company never skipped a beat and I was praised for it.
Me when chatting up new vendors: "Are you the type of organization where there is always someone who will pick up the phone?"
Them: "Oh yes, absolutely"
