Classic. This happened to me just yesterday. Took me 20 minutes to find a phone number from an email thread from a few weeks ago. Maddening.
I just replied 2 minutes ago...my otherwise brilliant coworker shared a crucial piece of SQL code that we need, but it was in an existing thread about a totally unrelated business issue that was already resolved. I saved the code in a file, but otherwise I don't think I would have ever seen it again...
I try not to be too harsh, people's social skills vary widely, but I just wonder why she didn't just start a new email with "Important SQL code for XYZ process". It went to everyone.
Being a part-time dick, I wrote back and said "Just to be clear, this works more broadly and not just for XYZ process, right?" 🙂
